About Us

We are a multidisciplinary creative group of professionals, designers and educators who build, connect, mentor, and motivate high school students to succeed through design and creativity. Started in early 2012, the Toronto Centre for Entrepreneurial Art and Design was conceived to bridge the knowledge gap between high school and post-secondary institutions.  Through our programs, students get hands-on experiences and real-world knowledge that helps better prepare them for success in their post-secondary studies and professionally. In today\\\’s fast-paced and ever changing world, we want students to:

  • Explore – their creative potential by providing a platform that allows them to discover the possibilities.
  • Transform – their ideas into products or services that enhances the user’s everyday experience.
  • Unleash – the skills they’ve developed to positively impact the world.

Samuel Lui, Founder, Managing Director

Samuel is an entrepreneur and is passionate about our kids and their future roles as positive contributing members of society. He has worked in various industries such as telecommunications, software, manufacturing, and startups in various positions from management consulting to marketing. A recent business trip has led him to believe that preparing high school students with the “right” education is important for solving problems in an ever increasingly complex world. Armed with this insight and experience, he created Toronto Centre for Entrepreneurial Art and Design, an organization dedicated to helping high school students learn about “design thinking”. He believes that with this knowledge, students can chart their own path to success.
